The purpose of this blog is to follow the current fashion trend of leather throughout Spring 2013. Dictionary.com defines leather as, "the skin of an animal, with the hair removed, prepared for use by tanning or a similar process designed to preserve it against decay and make it pliable or supple when dry. I chose to follow the leather trend because I am absolutely in love with leather. The only thing I can't obsess about is the price! But luckily they've invented leather prints and imitation material, such as vegan leather! Leather has been used in accessories like purses, shoes, jewelry, and headbands. In the fall we saw many leather garments such as pants and jackets. Since leather is such a warm material, many would think that the trend would die out in the spring. I disagree. I think the leather trend is a long way from ending. I predict we will be seeing leather skirts, shorts, dresses, sandals, and warm weather leather tops throughout the spring season. I also predict changes in the color of leather. I think we will be seeing more beige, light nude, and white leather. I also think we will be seeing bold bright color in leather such as red, yellow, and other spring colors. I think leather is a versatile material that will change as seasons change.
